It was a great week. We have been very busy this week with people coming to the temple for the first time. We also had some youth groups come to the temple on Saturday. One group from PEI was 27 young men, and 17 your women. The earlier group was about 10 youth.   The spirit was so strong.  Afterwards we had our annual Temple Workers Devotional. It was awesome. Craig directed a choir of temple workers. I think the members heard a better choir then performed, but it was wonderful to participate. We managed to get our car registered in Utah and got the tags back in time. July 8th is my birthday. I am learning new programs to run on the computers, reports to help out President Robinson. Its humbling to see the "hidden treasures of knowledge that Heavenly Father is revealing." Hips are doing much better for now. Took new pictures of Lunenberg today. We visited the Elders in Bridgewater then went to Lunenburg to have lunch with the  Brother and Sister Jewers. It was a good meal and great company. Got some Anita Stansfield books to read, I'm borrowing them. Will try to post the pictures tomorrow.

These pictures were taken at a district meeting in Dartmouth. We meet with the Elders every Tuesday morning. Every other week I have a meal for them after the meeting. This week was hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans and cake for dessert.

Elders Freeman and Hudson

Learning how to do their job better.
Heading for the McKay bridge to take us over to Dartmouth.

In May we started on another of our assignments. We have 4 sets of Elders in Nova Scotia that we visit and check on every 6ish weeks. We do this for the President Simpson, the mission pres.  We check the apartment and their cars. It gets us out of the apartment and out into the area. Thank goodness for GPS,  These pictures were taken May 14th when we went to Bridgewater to check on Elders Fisher and Hill. They have a lovely apartment that is like a cabin- very rustic with natural wood logs on the inside walls.  Elders will get a pan of brownies for a clean car and apartment, which they did.

I wrote a new poem for my grandchildren. They write and tell us how much we are missed, this is my response:

We Miss You Too

We miss you when you give us hugs and kisses.
We miss you when you are happy to see us come for a visit.
We miss seeing kittens, puppies and other new things in your life.
We miss you when you have an important event that we can’t come to.
We miss family get-togethers --the food-the fun-the chaos.
We miss you when others talk about grandkids and they can’t meet and know you.
We miss you when we see sights here and you’re far away.
We miss you each morning when we awake.

We love getting letters and notes from you.
We love serving in God’s Holy House.
We love the people we are meeting and serving with.
We love Heavenly Father and want to be with Him again.
We love our Savior for His atoning sacrifice so freely given.
We love hearing of your spiritual growth and gaining a testimony.
We love it when you call on Skype and we see how you’re growing.
We love knowing that the sun shines on us all even when we are miles apart.
We love that you pray for us each day, please know that we pray for you.

Love always,

Pictures from Prince Edward Island (PEI):
Time for a break, stretch our legs and wander the isle of the Masstown Market

Not a real lighthouse- they sell fish and fish and chips here.

The Confederation Bridge- 9 miles long- today
because of some fog on the PEI it looks like
 the bridge to no where!
Craig and I by the bridge
You can get on to the island for free
, but to come back to Nova Scotia
by bridge or ferry costs you a $50.00 tax =)

On PEI and its lunch time- Charlotte Nelson heading in to check
their prices etc. We had a delicious seafood chowder here.
Part of the fishing industry
, they raise and harvest oysters
and muscles(is it spelled the same?)

Beautiful, peaceful farmland everywhere you look.

Lucy Maud Montgomery
is the author of the Anne of Green
Gable  books. She was born here.

Farming and fishing everywhere.

Beautiful red soil found all over PEI-
They even sell what they call "Dirt Shirts".
They are shirts dyed with the soil.
I don't have one yet, but I will!!!!

Beautiful and peaceful

Wild Lupines they grow throughout PEI and Nova Scotia.

The 2 Charlottes head into the Museum about Anne of Green Gables

Me outside the Museum

This wasn't the ride we went on, but they offered one here.

Bleeding Hearts these are called I believe. My mother loved this plant.

We stopped at a beach on the North Atlantic, the rest area was so clean and nice.

Lo and behold the Elders in the area showed up at the same
place on their "P" day. Elder Proux (the one holding the bags of chips)
was an Elder who had served in Dartmouth area!

Walking the beach, even the rocks are red!!!

Just so you know, the North Atlantic Ocean is cold.
They told us if you keep heading north you would find Labrador.

The Elders exploring the area.

Even the little streams are salty ocean water, but the land is gorgeous

The view outside our Bed and Breakfast!
So peaceful and lovely

Charlotte and Darrel out for an early morning
stroll on Tuesday.

Firedance Country Inn
Bed and Breakfast-!!!

Making sure we are all packed!  Where's our camera?

Inside St. Dunsten's Cathedral in Charlottetown

The Confederation Hall- where Canada
as we know it had it's beginnings.

This big mace in the cabinet is used to call
 government sessions to order.

This is the room where the meetings about forming Canada began.

Square red lights, yellow light are oval, and green lights are diamonds in PEI!!

Meet Doc- a beautiful, well-behaved horse and his owner.

We had such a lovely carriage ride around Charlottetown.
There you see the 2 Charlottes. I managed to leave my purse in the
carriage, but thru prayer and faith, it was found and I got it
 back safe and sound.

We didn't see this till we were leaving- but we were in Charlottetown!

Our 2 day trip is coming to an end, this is the ferry that will take us back to Nova Scotia.

A working lighthouse off to the side of the ferry wharf.

Another smaller, but working lighthouse.

Okay, maybe its a little bit too windy to eat
outside on our ferry boat ride.

We are the last car to board, but we made it!
