The Bathurst phase 1 chapel. But, the Church plans on it becoming a stake center here.

Name of the Church in French. Elder Edwards liked seeing it in French again.

This room is where Sacrament Meeting and Sunday School was held. Up in the right corner you can see where the sacrament was blessed.

A beautiful site for a wonderful branch.

Member couple of the branch.

The Elders apartment was actually in a neighboring community, Beresford. The wind had picked up and was hard for me to get a centered picture, sorry folks.

This seagull really like Elder Edward's french fries when we stopped for lunch on the way home.

He came right up to the car to get some food.

Bridge entering into Mirimachi, New Brunswick. This is like an hour and half drive from Bathurst. Please drive this distance each Sunday, as Mirimachi attends the Bathurst Branch.

Bridge again.

Almost home, leaving New Brunswick(yellow flags) and entering Nova Scotia (blue and white flags)

Nova Scotia has a lovely visitors information center at the border, this is a picture of one of its lovely gardens.
The trip to Yarmouth was July 29-31st. August 5th found us on the road again this time to Bathurst, Brunswick.  Again we are going at the request of President Leavitt to check out the Elders Sunday was a mixture of both languages. It was very humbling to be there, the spirit was so very strong. One of the sweet sisters speaks very little English. When Elder Edwards got up to bear his testimony in French, she was in tears, it had been over 6 months since she had heard someone else bear testimony in her native tongue.  I also braved my nerves to bear testimony also and use the 3 sentences that I know in French. They translate to say, "Hello, my name is Sister Edwards. I speak very little French. I am a temple missionary in Halifax.)  I am working on 2 new sentences. "I know that Jesus Christ lives". Also "I know that the Book of Mormon is true." Relief Society was in a small class room and had 6-7 sisters there. Sacrament Meeting was about 20-25 people. One of the near-by Elders blessed the sacrament and his companion passed it to the congregation.  It was truly a touching experience.

Can you see those Utah license plates that stick out here in Atlantic Canada! This is the apartment building the Elders live in. It has recently been completely renovated- you can see the work is not quite completed.

My hero, making sure the key works. How grateful I am for this wonderful man.

A shot of the Elders apartment inside. Its a lovely place.

July 2012 trip to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia:  Pesident Leavitt asked us to travel to Yarmouth and check out the elder's apartment there. We had a lovely 2 days. We left in time to go thru rain coming home. Yarmouth is about 4-5 hours from Dartmouth where we are staying.

We were not the only folks to enjoy a beautiful day at the beach

Life and death can be found when the tide is all the way out.

Beautiful Queen Ann's Lace growing on the cliffs.

That evening we went out in the Veinots' canoe for a lovely ride.

Living on a lake, the lucky folks.

This picture of Veronica and David  on the canoe. We women talked and watched the  scenery while the men rowed. This picture is taken over my shoulder completely blind to the Veinotts- not bad!!!!

God's creations are so very beautiful and peaceful here.

More life on the lake

back on shore safe and sound.

I know this unhooks, what am I doing wrong?

The Veinots have a great dog, she is shy around new people, but of course she and Craig got along great! Me- she just stared at.

This plaque was in the bedroom that we stayed in. I love the thought.
