I got up early Sunday morning to work on temple scheduling for the upcoming week. I turned the computer on and it died I quietly woke up my husband with the news. I was so worried about what we would do.
Of course, this made it necessary to go to the chapel to listen to both Sunday Sessions. So grateful and thankful that we did not have to miss. Our leaders even talked about our faith and exercising it, even if it was as small as a mustard seed. This was my time to exercised my mustard seed, and I watched it grow, how humble I feel.

Saturday, April 6th, 2013
Thoughts from Saturdays sessions of General Conference- either heard or in my heart:
Peace
Where do you go to find peace in your life?
In a soldier’s tent after a hard fought victory is won?
Or is it far, far away from a city’s lights and sounds?
Can you find it in a sun-drenched meadow with flowers abloom?
Or by a clear reflective pool untouched by wind or man?
Is it safe in a harbor after traveling a storm-tossed sea?
Maybe it’s in your home at night with little ones finally asleep?
Or do you find it sitting in a church when thinking of God?
Peace should not be found only in the absence of things.
Or far away from those we love and who love us back.
Peace is like the star of Bethlehem that shown so bright
And like the wise men of old we must each search for and find it,
Although it is a gift freely given by our Savior and Redeemer.
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you . . .” (John 14:27)
It will enlighten our minds and bring joy to our hearts.
And has the ability to unite all of God’s children together in love.
Too often men try to separate peace from the Author of peace,
Thinking peace can be lasting and real if ordered by man’s law.
But peace is a higher law and it demands we live a higher life.
Christ’s peace is found by keeping His commandments each day.
It is also found when charity for all is found in our hearts.
His peace requires all of our heart, might, mind and strength.
It will help us with the buffetings of life’s trials and storms.
To obtain Christ’s peace is to bring the blessings of heaven to earth.

- Such a wonderful spiritual feast today has been - it will take time and work to digest and incorporate into our lives, but that is what we need to do.
- Elder Cook's talk about peace reminded me of this-

- No matter how near or far away you are, in Salt Lake City, or Canada, Europe, South America or where ever you find yourself, ( I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada on a senior couple mission), the spirit of this morning was equally felt- it transcends miles and languages when God's modern day leaders teach us.
- In regards to the importance of General Conference this weekend- “We are a covenant people, and great are the obligations which go with that covenant.” I will be watching Conference, what will you be doing?

- So looking forward to today and tomorrow, I need the wisdom of living priesthood leaders in my life. Thankful for President Monson, and for a the Book of Mormon.

Easter -day 2- Family Home Evening Group Dinner and Farewell to Dianne McMahon
April 1st- Dianne McMahon is one of the friendships that seem so eternal to us. She has been a faithful friend and a devoted temple worker. She needs to return to Ottawa to be there to help with the care of her mother- she's a wonderful daughter along with all the rest!
Our Easter dinner Family Home Evening Group style was so great! over 20 people scattered in halls and rooms for a wonderful evening of friendship, a spiritual message or 2 and a really great meal.

Easter Day! 2013
Happy Easter! My husband got me this beautiful miniature Orchid plant! I love it and him so very much!
Easter was a busy day! Craig and Robert Wilhelm sang a duet in both the Cole Harbor Ward and the Dartmouth Ward. So we attended 2 sacrament meetings. They sang, "The Holy City" and it brought tears to the eyes a many people, they did such a wonderful job. About 6:00 pm we had pre-performance warm-up/rehersal for the evenings Missionary Easter Fireside. A choir of members and missionaries sang (Craig and I were in that). They had missionaries that played the cello, the viola and a violin that did numbers. In addition we had Sister Call on the piano and Elder Thacker on the organ. Elder Call, one of our senior missionaries, pulled it all together for a lovely spirit-filled progam. Lots of folks came and it was wonderful. We will be taking the program to Truro, Nova Scotia in two weeks doing it there- one change- Craig and Bro. Willhelm will do their duet of "The Holy City". We are looking forward to this.
The last week of March 2013
This was such a wonderful, uplifting week! Family Home Evening Group on Monday, Dinner at the Fielden's on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday were Temple days! Friday was extra special. Good Friday is a holiday here so everyone is off work and out of school! We plan for a long temple day and the people come!
Normally we are in the temple for 2 sessions in the evening- 6 pm and 8pm, but for Good Friday our Temple sessions are 8 am, 10 am, 12 noon, 2 pm, 4 pm and 6 pm! It's a long, wonderful day that is filled with so many spiritual experiences! So many temple workers came from throughout Atlantic Canada and the patrons came also. I will treasure the memories of this day for a long, long time.

Dinner at the home of Aubrey and Thelma Fielden- how wonderful to share a meal with these faithful members and of the Church and active temple attendees. I call them my grandparents because they remind me of my grandparents (Myron and Charlotte Gross).! Have so very much love for these sweet folks who have experienced first hand the growth of the Church in Atlantic Canada.

Dinner tonight was Lobster Neueremburg and a lovely shrimp casserole and it was delicious, every single bite.
