My Testimony

I know the Father loves me so-
He sent His Son to show us the way on earth to go.
For each of our sins He so lovingly paid
His life was spent teaching us our Father to obey.
He tells me the things I need to hear
That the Holy Ghost can always be near.
Christ sacrificed His life that we might live again
Upon the cross He carried our cares and pain.
I know the Father and my Savior love me so and I love them.

I know His gospel was restored in these the latter days.
For this I thank the Savior dear and sing His praise.
He’s given us the scriptures too--
Words of all His prophets true.
They guide me down the path of life
They help me deal with each day’s strife.
Each page is filled with messages and hope from above
Telling me all about my Savior’s redeeming love.
I know our Savior loves me so and I love Him.

I know we have a prophet who cares for you and me
His teachings help to show us where we can all be.
I know that he is chosen by the Lord above,
In all he does I know that I can feel our Savior’s love.
I know that his calling is to guide both me and you.
I pray that I may always know his words are true.
He tells us all that each day we must do our very best
To love each other, to work and pray so we’ll be blest
I know our prophet loves me so and I love him.

My husband, Craig and I are preparing to serve our first senior mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We have been called to serve at the Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada Temple. We will serve for 18 months. Yesteday we gave farewell talks at the Magna Ward. We were blessed to have my sister Mary Ann and her hubby there. Also my 7 children and 14 of my 16 grandchildren. In addition many friends from our past and present were there. We were blessed to have many of the Oquirrh Mountain Temple there to support us. Craig and I have served with them for quite a while now and will miss them all so very much. One very special guest was Al DuLong, he was baptized when I served in the New England Mission over 40 years ago. It was a day that I will remember always.
