Cabot Tower atop of Signal Hill. It was from atop this tower on Dec 12, 1901 that the reception of the first Transatlantic signal was received. It was sent by Guglielmo Marconi.

Signal Hill

This mountain of road salt is used in the winter in St John

Near the water is a bed and breakfast place that is for sale, you just need $2.5  million in Canadian currency.

At first we couldn't believe the ducks were lined up in a row- they are duck decoys!.

The original residents of Quidi Vidi were not very happy when these 2 mansions were built, blocking their view of the water, but the gulls seem to like them alot!
